Get To Know Tan Tan

Born and raised in Binh Thuan, Vietnam, I grew up surrounded by the vibrant dragon fruit that defines my hometown. A majority of my childhood was spent watching my family nurture these iconic 'dragon tails' on our farm, roaming around our green land with my cousins, where the endless conversations of nature and cultivation shaped my early years.

As a kid, my dream was to become my parents and the other grown-ups in my family - working on the farm, taking care of the dragon fruit, and carrying on the family tradition. But life had other plans! Just like how our unique dragon fruit flowers bloom in unexpected ways, my dreams evolved too.

Collaborative Journey

As Design and Concept Lead, I successfully unified and inspired a diverse team of 15 creatives from various backgrounds to collaborate towards a single goal, resulting in a cohesive concept that received project approval from our client - BMW Group.

By facilitating the sharing of ideas and visualizing concepts on a collaborative whiteboard, I enabled the team to create final product that aligned with BMW's user needs, resulting in internal and client success.

Painting Keeps Me Sane

Painting was my introduction to the world of art and design. There is something meaningful to me about the tactile movement of mixing the acrylic, dipping the brush and laying it to a blank white canvas truly opens myself to be in the flow state, to be in the present and to achieve a sense of nowness.

Painting allows me to live in the present creatively without boundaries You can often find me spending my weekends painting Studio Ghibli's movie scenes, or a cinematic LGBTQ+ romance scene.
